Those of us attempting to build a culture of peace feel the loss this week of Blase Bonpane. Whether working on behalf of peasant groups as a Maryknoll priest in Guatemala during the 1960's, living at the United Farm Workers headquarters with César Chávez and serving as editor of UFW publications, leading Office of the Americas, or broadcasting for 50 years, his focus was always our focus - building a culture of peace.
