PAKISTAN- HISG continues to press forward in helping people devastated by weeks of flooding in Pakistan. Within the last week, in-country assessment teams and relief personnel has been traveling over washed out roads and through fields still soaked with thick mud and flood waters to reach some of the most remote villages, where people are still waiting for aid.
One man told us how he and his family had lived in a tree for three days while they waited for the water to recede. These villagers have had their roads, crops and even buildings completely washed away by flood water that reached as high as 20 feet. Some of the roads are still impassable, even with 4 x 4 vehicles.
