Communicating across differences is more important than ever before. Yet having conversations about gender, race, and ethnicity in the workplace can feel uncomfortable, accusatory, and potentially threatening.
To ensure successful and meaningful dialogue, we need to acknowledge-and work through-roadblocks (i.e. beliefs, attitudes or experiences) that can stifle progress. Learning how to surmount these obstacles takes practice, attention, and most importantly, intention.
Please join us for a roundtable discussion on a new Catalyst tool to learn how your organization can set conversation ground rules for positive dialogue and discussion among your employees.
Prior to the event, please think about questions that you have about gender, race, and ethnicity, but were afraid to ask. We will also explore the following questions:
- How does day-to-day exclusion impact the advancement of diverse talent?
- How can you create a safe space for courageous conversations about gender, race, and ethnicity within your organization?
- What are the top three roadblocks to inclusion and how do we get past them?
- How do we foster conversations that increase mutual respect, insight and knowledge?
